About me

Hey there!My name is Emin Nakilcioglu and I am a research scientist, living in Hamburg, Germany for almost 6 years now. I initially completed my B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University and afterwards moved to Hamburg, Germany to study a master's degree in Mechatronics at Hamburg University of Technology. During my study, i decided to specialize in Intelligent Systems, Robotics and Deep Learning. Since my graduation in August, 2020, I've been working as a research associate at Fraunhofer Center for Maritime Logistics and Services (Fraunhofer CML). My work mostly focuses on AI-based digital solutions for the maritime domain in research areas such as automatic speech recognition, time-series and workload forecasting as well as on providing software development and operational assistance for maritime-specialized projects.
