Rao Lakkakula is Director of Open Source Ecosystems at Microsoft. He brings over 25 years of experience in security and software development, with prior leadership roles at JPMorgan Chase, The Climate Corporation, Amazon, and several startups. Rao serves on the Linux Foundation Research Advisory Board and was a founding board member of the Open Source Security Foundation (OpenSSF), where he served from 2020 to 2024.
