Tarek Becker is CTO of Business AI Platform (BAIP) Fabric at SAP, where he drives platform architecture and execution alignment for SAP’s AI-native application platform. He is an experienced software architect with a strong focus on large-scale cloud platforms, distributed systems, and developer productivity. In his role, he helps SAP teams, partners, and customers build and run AI-native applications on a reliable, scalable, SAP-managed platform. Tarek is passionate about using open-source technologies pragmatically to create secure, resilient, and high-performing enterprise software. He believes platform engineering should reduce complexity, provide clear golden paths, and help teams move faster without compromising operational excellence. His work connects architecture, product strategy, and engineering execution to make BAIP a strong foundation for SAP customers and developers.
